This is a contest to see who can build the best
looking pedal with their Build Your Own Clone
Kits - a "stompbox beauty pageant". The
winners will be chosen by a Public Poll on the
Harmony-Central Effects Forum. You only get
one pic to display for judging, but you can also
privide a link so you can build your own page
and show off different angles, gut shots, and
even soundclips!

1st Place - Free BigToneMusicBrewery Anthology AND* a
pic of their pedal will get to be the "poster boy" for the home
page of Build Your Own Clone
2nd Place - Free BigToneMusicBrewery TriBooster AND* a
pic of their pedal will appear on the home page of the type of
kit that they built.
3rd Place - Free Build Your Own Clone Kit of your choice
AND* a pic of their pedal will appear on the home page of the
type of kit that they build unless it is the same as 2nd place
Runners up will have their pics displayed on the home pages
for kits that were not built by the winners*.
Deadline for entries is January 5th 2005. Polls will open Feb
1st. Winners will be announced on Febuary 14th 2005.
RULES:
I. Judging
A. The winners will be chosen by a Public Poll on the
Harmony-Central Effects Forum.
B. Only registered members of the Harmony-Central
Discussion Forums may vote.
C. Any registered member of the Harmony-Central
Discussion Forums may vote.
D. There may be multiple polls conducted in seperate
"threads"
E. 1st place will have the most votes, 2nd place will have the
second most votes, and 3rd place will have the third most
votes.
F. In the event that there is a tie for any of the top 3 prizes
between one or more of the seperate polls, another "tie
breaker" poll with only those entries in a tie will be started. If
there is still a tie after the "tie breaker" poll, the final decision
will be made by BigToneMusic Brewery.
G. The poll results will be made public.
H. Each poll will be open for 10 days. The "tie breaker" poll
will last only one day.
I. Only polls started by the Harmony-Central Discussion
Forum user name "bigtonemusic" will be considered valid.
II. Contest Entries
A. Email entries to contest@bigtonemusic.com. Include 1
pic, your name, the name of your pedal, your hometown, and
1 link (The link is optional. The other info is manditory).
B. Pics MUST BE in .jpg format and edited for webpage
display. Pics that are in other formats or that are too large
will not be accepted.
C. Only entries that were built using Build Your Own Clone
Kits will be valid. Contestants may be asked for proof of
purchase before their entry will be accepted.
1. Entries must appear to have all "stock" components
present.
2. Entries may have additional components such as LED,
AC adaptor, additional knob, switches, ect.
D. There is no limit to how many entries a contestant may
submit. But a contestant may only submit the same number
of entries as the same number of Build Your Own Clone Kits
he or she purchased. i.e. If you only bought 1 kit, you can
only submit one entry. If you bought 5 kits, you can only
submit 5 entries.
E. The copyrights of all photography and/or artwork that is
submitted for contest entry will become the property of
BigToneMusicBrewery and any contestant who submits their
photography and/or artwork for contest entry is knowingly
relinquishing all rights to their artwork to
BigToneMusicBrewery and BigToneMusicBrewery may use
this artwork in any manner they so choose.
*Plagerism:
Entries that contain any artwork which violates copyright laws
or is suspicious of copyright violation will be accepted for the
contest and are eligible for material prizes, but will not be
allowed to represent BigToneMusicBrewery should they win.
